Katepwa Lake is great place to spend a day on the water. The following information will help everyone enjoy the lake and stay safe. Have Fun!

Shore-Line Speed Restrictions: please observe the un-posted speed limit of 10km/hr (6 mph) within 30 meters (100 ft) from shore. This applies to all waters within the province except where other limits are posted. For more information, consult the Vessel Operation Restriction Regulations.

Operator Competency Requirements: The Competency of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations require that all operators of pleasure craft fitted with a motor have proof of competency and proof of age on board at all times. As of September 15, 2009, all operators will be required to have proof of competency. For more information, consult the Competency of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations

Life Jackets: required on all water craft in sufficient quantities to be worn by all riders.

Number of People in Boat:

Unless otherwise permitted or defined by your water craft (ie: Sea Doos), only 6 people should be in a boat at all times.

Fuel:

Fuel can be purchased at Rocco’s also located at Main Beach. Boaters are required to fuel away from waters edge and to report any and all spills.

Boat Launch/Lake Access:

All lake visitors can launch their boats at Main Beach Katepwa. Ample parking is available. No security. No cost.
