🔧Assisting with event set up and take down
🎪Acting as the main contact for Kerr’s Bouncers (games and inflatables)
🏠Picking up event equipment from the EMO shed at the Village Office

🔥🔥The District of Katepwa has received a Wildfire Risk Assessment for the Katepwa Beach area, completed by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency. The assessment reviews the community’s exposure to wildfire and outlines practical steps that can help reduce risk to homes and properties.![]()
The report considers factors such as surrounding vegetation, building materials, combustible materials near structures, and emergency access. It also highlights simple actions residents can take to reduce wildfire risk by maintaining their properties and managing the area immediately around their homes.![]()
Overall, the assessment provides valuable guidance for both the District and residents on improving wildfire preparedness and supporting a safer community.![]()

The District of Katepwa has been approved for up to $50,000 in funding from Trans Canada Trail through the Trans Canada Trail Catalyst Grant Program.![]()
We’re proud to receive this #TransCanadaTrail grant to enhance our section of the Trail.![]()
This funding will support:
• Paving the remaining 2 km of trail, including safe turn-out points
• Crack sealing and surface repairs along the existing 10 km where required![]()
These upgrades will improve safety, accessibility, and the long-term durability of our 10 km Trans Canada Trail corridor connecting Sandy Beach, Katepwa Beach, and South Katepwa. Completion of this final paved section will create a fully connected route across the District for residents and visitors to enjoy.![]()
It takes a nation to care for the world’s longest trail — and we’re proud to do our part right here in Katepwa.![]()
