Important Parking Reminder
A tow truck will be onsite this year and actively enforcing parking regulations along Regina Avenue. Double parking is strictly prohibited, even if you travelled together or know the owner of the other vehicle.![]()
Vehicles that are double parked will be towed at the owner's expense and subject to a $200 fine.![]()
Please park responsibly and help us keep traffic moving safely for everyone attending the event.![]()

Weβre pleased to share that Yoga at Katepwa Beach will be FREE for the month of July thanks to Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association, Sask Lotteries, and the Get Moving grant!
Join Joyful Yoga | Indian Head for gentle yoga on the beach every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:30 a.m., starting July 1 and ending August 1.
Please note: there will be no class on July 25.
Everyone is welcome. What a wonderful way to start Canada Day and enjoy our beautiful beach this summer!

π’ PROPERTY TAX DISCOUNT DEADLINE APPROACHING![]()
A reminder to residents that the property tax discount deadline is June 30, 2026. Payments must be received on or before this date to qualify for the discount, which applies only to the municipal portion of your property taxes.![]()
The final tax due date is October 31, 2026. Payments received after this date will be subject to penalties.![]()

The District of Katepwa is pleased to announce that we have received approval for a $3,200 Parks for All Action Grant through Sask Lotteries and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA).![]()
This funding will support the preliminary design work for the potential South Katepwa Pedestrian Bridge, an important step toward improving connectivity, accessibility, and recreational opportunities within our community.![]()

The District of Katepwa is pleased to announce that we have been awarded funding through the Get Moving Grant Program to support our Community Yoga Program this summer!![]()
This program will offer outdoor yoga sessions throughout July 2026, providing residents and visitors with an opportunity to stay active, improve wellness, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Katepwa.![]()
We are also excited to partner with Joyful Yoga | Indian Head, who will be leading the yoga sessions and helping create a welcoming, accessible experience for participants of all ages and fitness levels.![]()
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association and Sask Lotteries for their support of active living initiatives across Saskatchewan. From May 12 to June 12, water levels increased from 478.38 meters to 478.52 meters, with peak levels rising by approximately 5.51 inches.![]()
Lakefront residents are encouraged to stay aware of changing shoreline conditions, including potential minor erosion, higher water reach near structures, and shifting debris.![]()

Work is underway on the Sandy Beach Tennis Court revitalization project.![]()
The project includes:
βοΈ New uniform-height fencing
βοΈ Energy-efficient court lighting
βοΈ Asphalt improvements in select grassed areas surrounding the courts![]()
Please note that the existing fencing has been removed and will be reinstalled once construction is complete. Temporary interruptions and restricted access to the area may occur while work is underway.![]()

Starting Wednesday, May 27, sections of the Trans Canada Trail will be temporarily closed due to paving work.![]()
The affected area is approximately 2 km in length, from north of the condos on Highway 56 to Sandy Beach. Closures will apply only to this section until the work is complete to allow crews to safely complete the paving project.![]()
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed. Please obey all signage and barriers in the area.![]()

The dog park is now back open following the completion of the gopher control treatment.![]()
β οΈ Please continue to use caution in the area and do not allow pets to eat any dead gophers that may still be present.![]()

The District Office is receiving calls regarding multiple dead birds on properties within the District.![]()
If you encounter sick or dead birds, fish, or wildlife, please report them to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment at π 1-800-567-4224 for further instruction.![]()
As a general precaution:
β’ Avoid direct contact with sick or dead birds, fecal droppings, and body fluids
β’ Keep children and pets away from carcasses or sick animals
β’ Wear heavy-duty rubber gloves, dish gloves, latex gloves, or double latex gloves if handling a dead bird
β’ Leak-proof plastic bags may also be used as gloves
β’ Ensure the birdβs bill and claws do not puncture gloves or bags during handling
β’ An N95 mask or equivalent may also be worn for added protection![]()
If the carcass is not being submitted for evaluation, double bag the carcass and dispose of it in your regular garbage.![]()

The May and June amounts shown at the bottom of the notice reflect the discounted total if payment is received by the end of those respective months.![]()
